Static Trapeze - Open- 03/09/2010 - 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Static Trapeze
Static Trapeze is a trapeze that generally stays in one place as the performer moves in and around it. A typical static trapeze performance can incorporate poses, hangs, drops and rope skills.
In class we'll be focusing on proper form and building poise and grace by learning to use the trapeze as an extension of the body itself.
Beginners will learn better body awareness through basic movements or tricks. Later, we'll string these tricks together to form routines, always integrating each persons unique style and flavor.
More advanced students will be challenged to polish their form, learn harder tricks and to find and create movements of their very own.
Students should wear tight leggings and bring ankle socks.
