3rd Ward is a member-based design center for creative professionals with two locations in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are committed to providing resources, opportunities and a dynamic-creative network to our members and the community at large. Our space houses four gorgeous photo studios, a professional wood & metal shop, a fully loaded digital media lab, shared & private office space and a large interdisciplinary art education program. Throughout the year we also offer exciting events and opportunities for artists.

The Band of Bicycles is a collective of musicians, artists, activists, inventors, circus performers, and bicycle enthusiasts. We have fun wherever we go. And we don’t need outlets.

Fly-by-Night Dance Theater is a Modern Dance company that features the repertory of Artistic Director Julie Ludwick. The company and Ms. Ludwick specialize in a combination of Modern Dance and Aerial Dance. Now in their 10th Anniversary season!

The next generation of circus has taken hold in this troupe of femmes fatales, who are taking circus arts to new heights. Born in the Brooklyn underground, Lady Circus have burst out of the gritty, grimy, glossy cocoon that birthed them to display a devastating combination of skill and spectacle for the new millennium.

Make Fun is a fabric studio that provides artists, designers and creative individuals with the facilities necessary to create textile based art and projects. With a professional sewing room, a wide variety of fabric, trim, notions and a costume library, it is the ideal studio for anyone making wearable art and fabric related projects. Aside from offering facilities and materials, Make Fun is also a breeding ground for inspiration as well as guidance.

The mission of the New England Center for Circus Arts is to create a school, facility and community where circus arts are available to the general public and to inspire students of all skill levels, ages, abilities and aspirations. NECCA is located in Brattleboro, VT.

The Aloft Loft challenges professional aerialists and curious newbies alike with our fun-loving, muscle-building approach to the aerial arts. Students travel from around the country to train with Shayna Swanson, Aloft’s Company Director, who has over 15 years experience in teaching various physical art forms; gymnastics ,dance and trapeze (to name a few). Classes at the Aloft Loft will challenge you mentally, physically and emotionally, but as you see your confidence, muscle tone and flexibility grow, you’ll realize you’re getting a workout like you couldn’t get anywhere else!

House of Yes is an art space in East Williamsburg Brooklyn that supports performance, fine art and creative endeavors by providing the space and materials needed to make things happen. Whether it’s a music video shoot, circus variety show, experimental musical, workshop, interactive art show or new movie screening, our collective is constantly hosting interesting events or producing our own.
