Jennifer Kovacs is a NYC based dancer and aerialist. She has traveled both nationally and internationally to perform and teach. Currently, Jennifer is a resident artist at Galapagos Art Space, performs as an in-house aerialist at the The Box NYC, and is frequently featured at the Slipper Room. She also runs her own aerial company, Vertical Aerial Arts, alongside partner Megan Hornaday. Vertical Aerial Arts is known for their unique aerial apparatus and creating elegant and modern circus art. Recently, they were the featured aerialists at Ultra Music Festival in Miami and on NBC daytime television.
In addition to being a performer and aerial instructor, Jen is an ACE certified personal trainer and holds certifications in both active isolated stretch and kettlebell. Combining her background of dance and fitness, Jennifer focuses on good technique and safety while in the air. In class, students will work on new sequences and tricks as well as building muscle stamina and proper alignment. Every class includes aerial conditioning, which is important to keep the body safe and injury-free. Jen takes her students’ wide-ranging abilities and comfort levels into consideration, and will challenge you at your appropriate level. She helps to get beginner students in the air, push intermediate students to the next level, and refine and improve advanced students to their best.
